OVERVIEW
Dr Rusdi Omar is currently an Associate Professor in School of International Studies (SoIS) and Dean of Student Development and Alumni COLGIS at College of Law, Government and International Studies (COLGIS) Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM). He holds a PhD in Politics and International Studies from Adelaide University, Australia and Master of Law in International Relations from Hitotsubashi University, Japan. Dr Rusdi also holds a Bachelor of Degree in Economics (Hons.) from Universiti Malaya, Malaysia. He teaches both undergraduate and postgraduate courses, which includes International Relations, Foreign Policy Analysis, Malaysian Foreign Policy, Diplomacy, Politics of Developed and Developing Countries and East Asian Politics. His primary research interest is in International Relations, Malaysian Politics, Malaysia-Singapore Relations, Southeast Asian Politics and East Asian Politics. Apart from that, Dr Rusdi has published many articles in international and national refereed journals and also in conference proceedings. He wrote some books and many chapters of the book. Regarding student supervision, he has supervised undergraduate and postgraduate students in the areas of International Relations, Political Sciences and International Political Economy.
