OVERVIEW
Azira Abdul Adzis is an associate professor in Banking at the School of Economics, Finance and Banking, Universiti Utara Malaysia. Her area of interest is banking, specifically in loan default, bank performance, bank lending, and bank loan loss provisions. She also has interest in financial literacy, debt literacy, household behavior, e-commerce, and financial reporting particularly IFRS. She obtained a PhD degree from Massey University, New Zealand in year 2012 and also an affiliate member of Asian Institute of Chartered Bankers (AICB) since year 2012. She had published her works in Scopus indexed journals such as Journal of Financial Economic Policy, Journal of Behavioral Finance, International Journal of Housing Markets and Analysis, Finance Research Letters, and Global Economic Review. During her 20 years tenure with UUM, she has held several administrative positions such as Deputy Dean (2019-2020), Head of Banking & Risk Management Department (2018), and Programme Coordinator for Bachelor of Banking (2014-2017).
