OVERVIEW
I'm Muhammad Afifi Abdul Razak and currently a lecturer in politics and international relations at School of International Studies (SoIS). I'm also appointed as a research Fellow at UUM Research Centre for Indonesia, Thailand and Singapore (UUM-ITS) at Ghazali Shafie Graduate School of Government (GSGSG) as well as an Associate Research Fellow at Research Unit for the Study of State, Human Rights & Democracy at SoIS), Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM), Sintok, Kedah Darulaman, Malaysian. I graduated with a BA degree in Political Science from International Islamic Universiti Malaysia (IIUM) and MA degree also in political science from National University of Malaysia (UKM). Prior joining the UUM, I worked as an Assistant Director at Research Division, Prime Minister Department, in Putrajaya. I'm currently teaching courses on International Relations and Politics of Southeast Asia. I have produced numerous academic publications (eg. books, book chapters, articles in journals, newspapers and conference proceedings) and presented several of them in conferences/seminars inside and outside Malaysia. I also engaged in several research and consultancy projects with government agencies, political parties and NGOs. Apart from lecturing, I also served as Research Fellow at UUM-ITS and MAPAN.
