OVERVIEW
My research interests include text and data mining, natural language processing, financial data mining, computational semantics, graph based data representation, sentiment analysis and outlier detection. My work has contributed to advances in knowledge discovery from corpora, automatic extraction of information and conceptual graph based deviation detection technique for financial text. In recent years I have focused on the use of nature inspired algorithms for financial prediction, identification of causal relations in Quran translation, exploring the canonical data model for clustering text documents and complex event pattern detection in sentiment analysis. As a member of computational intelligence research group, I would like to initiate and be involved in projects that would analyze data from social media and other textual resources. I am particularly interested in detecting text deviations as well as other text mining task on various text corpora.
