OVERVIEW
Nooraini Yusoff has joined Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM) since 2003. She is currently a senior lecturer at the School of Computing. Nooraini obtained her Bachelor Degree in Information Technology (specialised in Artificial Intelligence) with First Class Honour (Vice Chancellor Award, UUM, 2001; Gold Medal Award, United Malays National Organization, 2001; Certificate of Recognition, 2001; Academy of Malaysian Science)and MSc (Intelligent System) with CGPA 4.0 (Vice Chancellor Award, 2003) from UUM. In 2012, she graduated from her Ph.D in the field of Computational Neuroscience from the University of Surrey, United Kingdom.Nooraini is actively involved in Neural network researches particularly in developing learning algorithms for complex systems, brain-inspired applications and cognitive modelling. She was also involved in a consultation project with Telecom Malaysia Research & Development Centre, and several top-down granted projects with the Malaysian Ministry of Higher Education. She has a well-established collaboration with the Neuroscience Lab at Universiti Sains Malaysia, Kubang Kerian in several brainrelated researches. She has also published in several international top-ranked conference proceedings, e.g. ICANN and ICONIP and journals in Neural network and Artificial Intelligence. She is also a reviewer of Neurocomputing journal and is a technical committee for KMICE (2004, 2006) and ICOCI (2013) conferences. Currently, Nooraini is supervising (and co-supervising) 2 MSc IT (Research) and 3 Ph.D students.
