Mariny Abdul Ghani, Ph.D., is a Chartered Psychologist accredited by The British Psychological Society (BPS) and also a Licensed Counsellor registered with Board of Counsellors, Ministry of Women, Family and Community Development, Malaysia. Currently she works as a Senior Lecturer at the School of Applied Psychology, Social Work and Policy, College of Arts and Sciences, Universiti Utara Malaysia, Malaysia.
Dr. Mariny’s main areas of interest include women studies, counselling for disabled and domestic violence using quantitative as well as qualitative approach. Her work focuses on the establishment of batterer intervention program and its effectiveness, specifically designed in redressing domestic violence problem in Malaysia.
