OVERVIEW
Siti Darwinda Mohamed Pero is currently a senior lecturer at the Department of International Affairs, School of International Studies, Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM). She holds a bachelor degree (BA) in International Affairs Management and Master of Science (MSc.) in Strategic Studies from Universiti Utara Malaysia. She obtained her PhD in International Relations from the University of Melbourne, Australia in August 2016. Siti Darwinda’s PhD thesis examined and compared the role(s) of political leadership in regional community-building of Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and the European Union (EU). Her main research interests and publications focus on the ASEAN-EU relations, Asian regionalism, comparative regionalism (ASEAN-EU), and leadership in regional bodies.
