Dr. Amirul Faiz Osman is currently a Senior lecturer at the Islamic Business School (IBS), Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM). Previously, He holds a position as head of APEL Unit (Accreditation of Prior Learning) and Head of Training & Consultancy (UTRACY) Department, UECSB UUM. Holder a bachelor degree in Shariah Law from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM). A recipient of Bright Scholarship Award of Chartered Islamic Finance Professional (CIFP) programme under International Center for Education in Islamic Finance (INCEIF) in 2008.
Obtained his PhD from IIUM Institute of Islamic Banking and Finance (IIiBF) in 2016 which his thesis focusing on Islamic Wealth Management. He has been awarded a certificate in Islamic Financial Planner (IFP) by Islamic Banking & Finance Institute Malaysia (IBFIM) in year 2017 and actively engaged with IFP programme as instructor. Appointed as research fellow at Institut Penyelidikan dan Inovasi Zakat (IPIZ), UUM. Expert in Structural Equation Modelling (SEM), AMOS and Partial Least Square (PLS). Prior joining UUM, he was a senior executive at the Finance Department, Public Islamic Bank Berhad (PIBB), Headquarters Kuala Lumpur. His area of research focusing on Islamic Finance and Banking, Islamic Social Finance and Islamic Fintech.
