Noraziah Che Arshad is currently a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Islamic Finance, Banking and Economic at the Islamic Business School, Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM). She holds a degree in BEc. (Hons.) (UUM), MEc. (UKM) and completed her doctorate degree in Risk Management of Islamic Financial Institutions from the University of Malaya (UM). She has been teaching several courses in the field of Islamic finance and banking such as Risk Management and Takaful Planning, Zakat and Tax Planning, Islamic Banking Management, and Islamic Financial Markets, Instruments and Institutions. Her main research interests are Islamic Finance (Risk Management, Wealth Management, Financial Planning), Islamic Capital Market, Islamic Banking and Islamic Economics. She has a Professional Qualification (Islamic Financial Planner) awarded by the Islamic Banking and Finance Institute Malaysia (IBFIM) in 2011 and Certified Qualification in Islamic Finance (CQIF, Wealth Management) in 2021 from the IBFIM and Financial Planning Association of Malaysia (FPAM). At the national level, she is a panel auditor for the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA). She is also the executive editor of the International Journal of Islamic Business (IJIB) and is active in Master's and PhD supervision.
