OVERVIEW
Mohd Fikri is currently a junior academician and member of teaching faculty in Islamic Business School, Universiti Utara Malaysia. He has completed the Doctorate study at Putra Business School, Universiti Putra Malaysia in 2019. He holds a Master and Bachelor degree in Business Administration specializing in the area of finance. Prior to the current position, he joined administration and service department of the national leading pension body, Employees Provident Fund (EPF). His research field is mostly in corporate finance, devoting on corporate governance and Shariah governance. Research interest focuses particularly in delegated portfolio management issues. His teaching experience includes Islamic investment, Islamic financing management, Islamic banking management, and regulations in Islamic finance and banking. Among the highest achievement in research collaboration is his involvement as a research member in two industry grants awarded by FWD Takaful and Yayasan Bank Rakyat. The latest research is focusing on the grants offered at the university level. Not to mention, his academic articles have been published by various international peer-review journals such as Asian Academy of Management Journal of Accounting and Finance, International Journal of Economics and Financial Issues, Journal of Islamic Accounting and Business Research, and International Journal of Monetary Economics and Finance. While he actively writes academic papers, the reviewing function is part of his great contribution to academic society and community for knowledge expansion.
