Ahmad Khilmy b Abdul Rahim is currently a senior lecturer at Islamic Business School (IBS), UUM.He holds Professional Certificate of Islamic Financial Planner (IFP) in 2013 and Certified Qualification in Islamic Finance (CQIF, Islamic Wealth) in 2014 from IBFIM and FPAM. Graduated from International Islamic University, Malaysia (IIUM) in 1996 in Fiqh and Usul Fiqh . He later obtained Master of Shariah from University of Malaya (2005) and PhD degree in Islamic Finance and Banking from Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM) in 2013. His areas of research is Islamic Finance, Islamic wealth management and Islamic Laws of Contracts. His research focuses on Shariah issues, juristics discussion and contemporary issues related to Islamic finance and Islamic wealth management. Beside busy with academic works, he was also assigned with administrative jobs as a chairman of postgrad collaboration program with Bayero Kano University (BUK), Nigeria. Currently, he is also a Research Fellow at Institute of Research and Innovation of Zakat (IPIZ).
