Dr. Mohd Adib Abd Muin is currently a Program Coordinator and Senior Lecturer at the Department of Muamalat Administration and Halal Management, Islamic Business School (IBS), and a Research Fellow at the Institute of Zakat Research and Innovation (IPIZ), Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM). He completed his Ph.D. in Social Entrepreneurship from Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP) in 2017. His PhD title is "Amalan Keusahawanan Sosial Islam Dalam Kalangan Usahawan: Kajian Terhadap Usahawan Sosial Berjaya Muslim Di Malaysia". He received the M.S and B.S. degree in Management (Muamalat) and Muamalat Administration from Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM) in 2011 and 2010 respectively. Mohd Adib obtained his qualification program in Islamic Financial Planning (IFP) and Certified Qualification in Islamic Finance (Wealth Management) from the Islamic Banking and Finance Institute of Malaysia (IBFIM) and the Financial Planning Association of Malaysia (FPAM) in 2016 and 2014 respectively. At present, he is the Advisor of the Diploma Islamic Banking and Finance at Politeknik Sultan Idris Shah (PSIS) started in 2017, Academic Fellow at Institute of Halal Management (IHM) UUM, Editorial Board for Jurnal Economy Syariah Teori dan Terapan (JESTT), Universitas Airlangga, Indonesia, Research Fellow at Institut Penyelidikan & Inovasi Zakat (IPIZ), a member of the International Council of Islamic Finance Educators (ICIFE), and an Associate Member at the Association of Shariah Advisors in Islamic Finance (ASAS). He also holds the certificate Kursus Wajib Tenaga Pengajar Halal, Halal Professional Board (HPB) from Jabatan Kemajuan Islam Malaysia (JAKIM) in June 2017. He has presented a number of papers in Islamic Social Entrepreneurship, as well as papers in Muamalat, Islamic Finance and Banking, Islamic Management, Islamic Business, and Zakat Management. He has won several awards for the best presentation and conference paper. His works have been published in various indexed journals and chapters in books by Springer, Singapore, Social Institute of Malaysia (ISM), and Malis Agama Islam Wilayah Persekutuan (MAIWP). He has also served as Advisor for the students Club (MUADS Club and PALAPES UUM).
Prior to joining UUM, he completed his cadet training in PALAPES UUM and was commissioned as Second Lieutenant at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) on 21 June 2009. He was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant in October 2013 and Captain in February 2018 at PALAPES UUM.
